Leon and Mandy Mileham
Leon took on the role of pastor of CONNECT Church in January 2015 and in May 2017 commenced full-time ministry for the church, having worked for the past 28 years in the court reporting profession. Mandy is a full-time mum and heads up CONNECT's parent and toddler group in Senacre, Little Steps. They have been happily married since 2000 and have three lively boys.
Leon plays in two local bands and loves all things guitar! Mandy loves socialising with friends. They both have an encyclopaedic knowledge of children's TV and movies and have a combined record collection comprising everything from Metallica to Take That!
They are passionate about the church both locally and further afield and their desire is to see God's Kingdom impacting every area of society.
Steve and Julie Samson
Steve and Julie have been part of the church since moving to Maidstone following their marriage in 2002. They spent several rewarding years heading up the church’s youth work before the arrival of their two children, Luke and Anna.
Steve enjoys sharing insights into God's word and heads up our kids church ‘Energise'. He works full time locally and loves speaking French & Spanish. In a rare moment of free time, he enjoys a bit of stargazing.
Julie's passion is family life and being part of the local community. She works part time in finance and loves spending time with other mums in Maidstone. She is a volunteer with the Princess Project, a local Christian charity supporting mums.
Together they have a real heart for the global church and in particular seeing Christians at the forefront of tackling poverty and injustice.
Simon and Angela Nunn
Simon and Angela Nunn have lived in the east Maidstone area all their married life, over 35 years. Both come from Christian families. They first met when Simon began attending the small church in Bromley where Angela and her family worshipped, and romance followed! Members of the church since it began, Simon has been an Elder since 2001. Simon’s working career was in management with the London Underground.
Angela worked as a primary teacher at East Borough School in Maidstone, with Key Stage 1 and music responsibilities. Both are now retired, but find themselves busier than ever!
They have three children, all married, and active with their partners in their own churches. Simon and Angela currently have five grandchildren, spending time with whom is both a high priority and an enormous pleasure and privilege. Simon has strong interests in history, railways, architecture and woodwork. Angela enjoys a variety of crafts, playing the piano, and all aspects of home-making. They have a shared enthusiasm for gardens and gardening, visiting historic properties, reading, and classical music.
In the church, Simon and Angela’s passion is to see people coming to faith, and growing in spiritual maturity in Christ. They have a particular interest in bringing Bible teaching which strengthens faith, and its outworking in practical Christian living and witness, within the family and through the local church.
